Monday, June 8, 2015 - Vega Sicilia Dinner with Javier Ausas (Berry Bros & Rudd, London): Very young. At this stage a mixture of sweet oak and dark, heavy fruit. A lot of tannin, light charamel, mocca. Very ripe. Judgung by the 2004 that we had after this (Papies 90) this needs quite a bit of time in bottle and according to Javier Ausas Valbuena needs 10yrs in bottle. Will not rate at this stage.

6/9/2015 6:47:00 PM - Thanks. We just took delivery of the 2010 Valbuena with no intention of sipping for a few years. Your comment is useful in terms of supporting our plan.
