Friday, April 10, 2015 - Tasting at Linne Calodo (At the Winery - Templeton, CA): The Grenache (70%) plays lead here. Very lush. Packs a punch up front, provides thrills on the palate and tails off toward the finish. A red flower/rose bouquet with raspberries, currants and sweetened cranberries erupting on the tongue. A 60-second finish, easily. Tannins peek in and out, sometimes overwhelming the palate right now. My guess, though, is that time will take the edges off of this wine, making this more of a cellar candidate than a "drink me now" wine. Still . . . It's luscious.
