Saturday, December 5, 2015 - If there is a better Bourgogne rouge at this price (£14) then bring it to me now. This is sensationally good - approachable now with a broad palate of soft red fruit, undergrowth, mushroom, meat - feels beautifully loose knit with a cut of cherries and soil coming through. Excellent balance. No one has any right to expect pinot this good from Burgundy at this price, but somehow they've done it. I loved it when tasted En Primeur and love it even more now.
