Tuesday, April 14, 2015 - After 30 minutes of aeration, vitamin c and rusty nail notes, which I’m not very fond of, start to calm down, and raisiny fruit comes forward. There are notes of blackberries, prunes, tar, and low-rye bourbon. I didn’t know what to expect from a 17 years old zinfandel, but it is pleasing, although I wish the rusty nail note was less prevalent. 13.9% alc
