Tuesday, February 21, 2012 - I think this is one of my favoured wines from 1990. Classic mature Bordeaux with many years to go! This has just reach it plateau and who know how long it will stay here. The wine started with complex but mostly dark fruit notes and over two hours turned to notes of cigar box and leather backed with black cherry, dark chocolate and touch of wood. Palate is totally resolved; flavours intense, tannins not notable and finish long. Great mid palate. Classic Bordeaux. A little of the wine left on the bottle was finished two days later and still lively and vibrant.
