Wednesday, May 20, 2015 - pnp, consumed 75/25 over two days. full disclosure: i'm not a pinot person. the only pinot i've ever enjoyed has been kosta browne, which makes sense because i like my wines large and in charge. while the nose on this pinot gave what i've come to expect from pinot (attic funk, earthy red berry aromas, stemmy spice), the palate had a nice fruit pop and the finish was very good. a little caramel to complement the subtley spicy red fruits. light-bodied, but balanced and attention-holding. i'd definitely buy this again, though at its price i'm more apt to stick with what i like. if scoring, 89-90. should drink well for the next few years.
