Thursday, May 21, 2015 - 2nd bottle I've tried. This time partial blind tasted (1 out of 6 possible Pinots) Dark cherry color, medium concentration, med viscosity. On the nose I smell a good amount of alcohol, dark/purple fruit vs. red fruit. Blackberry, ripe cherry on the nose. A hint of oak. On the palate I get a lot of spice, heat. Alcohol is high, fruit is medium. A good amount of earthiness / mustiness that I don't prefer. A bit over ripe. Fuller body than most Pinots. Tannin is med, a drink now type of Pinot. My second experience was much different than my first - I'm a bit puzzled. It's a screw top so I don't think it was faulted. 86-87
