Friday, September 5, 2014 - Brick red with incipient orange border. Somewhat closed at first but opens up gradually with beautiful aromas of plum, soft fruit and ripe strawberry jam. Some oak tones and gradually hint of herbs, tobacco, forest floor, hazel nuits, truffle and liquorice. On the palate ripe soft fruit, dark plums and some oak. Medium acidity, comfortable integrated tannins and good length. A delicious and incredibly elegant barolo from FC. Paired with lamb carre covered with hazel nuits, a perfect match and wonderful lunch at Ciau de Tornavento in Treiso.
