Sunday, May 17, 2015 - Opened, poured into a decanter, and then back into the bottle.
Served with food (barbecued ribs, cheesy polenta and roasted cauliflower, in case you were wondering).
Good spice on the nose, with a touch of red fruits. Good acidity that was a bit too shrill at first but mellowed a bit over time.
Nice bright fruits and spice. A bit earthy, likely from the mataro.
Label indicates the blend of 40% grenache, 40% mataro, 15% zinfandel, and 5% carignane.
