Wednesday, May 20, 2015 - An old friend, we have been buying this rose for close to 20 vintages. This is what rose is supposed to taste like. They seem to raise the bar almost every vintage, and this one is at least as good and probably better than anything previous. The vineyards and the winery only exist to make rose. The color is perfect Provence salmon pink. The nose is sharp and expressive strawberry, roses and minerals. Splendid large mouth feel. The red fruit is completely balanced with appropriate acid. The terroir shows influence with minerals and shale. Super crisp finish that still allows the strawberry to show through.
