Saturday, May 23, 2015 - This is distinctly sauvignon blanc but, as it typical for the grape, shows differently coming from the GRV vs other regions in which it's grown. This has the classic herbal/grassy note as well as gooseberry but this wine shows more green apple than I've tasted in other regions. Certainly no jalapeno/cat pee. There's also a bit of tropical fruit and even a prickly pear cactus note which is definitely unique. Not as acidic as many nor as complex, but I'm going to have to see if I can find any other GRV examples as this is pleasant.
