Saturday, December 22, 2012 - Deep crimson-black; intense cassis, blackberries, wet stones, graphite, vanilla; ripe berry/plummy, silky, medium-full body, great depth, excellent structure, vibrant acidity, young grainy tannins, long finish.
Decanted 3 hrs, not long enough. Ripe, restrained cassis/blackberry/plum with great depth of body, acid and tannins. Very tight but started to show well at 6 hrs. 1st of 3 - great potential. Yummy with prime rib.
