Monday, February 18, 2013 - Dinner at Heirloom Cafe in SF with Jim H and Tom. Awesome place, very friendly on corkage.

This is a very big wine, gorgeous full nose of spice and red fruits. Complex wine, coming from the old vines (100 year old Grenache vines) Spicy red fruits, red pepper, mocha/coffee, some raisin and medicinal fruit in the background.

Huge finish, liqueur like. 30 seconds. Big and interesting wine that will probably add complexity over time. Was a favorite of this group, given its size and jamminess it may not be for everyone
