2005 Château Lanessan

Community Tasting Note

86 Points

Saturday, January 24, 2009 - Opened 45 minutes before tasting, still very tight, waited another 30.

Lovely ruby color. Classic young French noise of cherry, currant, wet and dry earth. Quite dry to the taste, notes of plum, vanilla, coffee. Moderate-to-long finish, fairly prevalent young tannins.

Very nice young Medoc, good QPR, excellent accompaniment to cheese plate. Give it plenty of time to breathe. Certainly drinkable now, but could use some time.
