So I've had a couple bottles of the 2012 and was completely enamored by it (scored it 95 both times, one year apart). My expectations were high for this 2013. Overall, this has similar weight and fruit profile but is much more structured than the 2012. The tannins are pretty aggressive at this stage. A bit more of an oak presence and perhaps a touch more dark-fruited.
I'm not disappointed in this, but this needs more time for my palate - perhaps a lot more time (5 yrs+?).
