Tuesday, December 22, 2015 - Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Ultra-deep garnet. Nice nose of red fruits and bramble, which I might otherwise call clean white pepper. The latter is a good thing about this wine. Red-fruit, jammy flavors lead on the palate in a texture that swings toward softness. I do hope for more acid, because otherwise the flavors here are Generally Quite Good. Finishes fast. I admire Michael Klouda; he's doing some new things in Lodi, and we should support him.
