Sunday, May 7, 2006 - (at Abacrombie – Baltimore) – deep golden but not oily. Initial cheesy nose. This blows off after 5 minutes to reveal intoxicating tangerine and apricot aromas. Deep, mature, complex, captivating. The palate is dry, but there is so much Riesling extract that the wine is a perfect balance of sweet fruit, secondary notes, balancing structure. I am really impressed and will need to go back to the cellar to see if I can find more. Glorious!!!!! I don’t know how an Alsatian wine could provide more pleasure (20)
