Tuesday, July 19, 2016 - Pale brown red. Immediately upon opening the nose was so bright. Hard to believe, the label said bottled in 1965. After a 4 hour decant it was still showing some fruit but had developed more earthy fig, plum and smoked meat notes. Very delicious to drink.
From a magnum bought from K and L. In great condition. Should continue on for decades.
A very good old port but not the greatest. I have preferred the 1966 vintage and found the 1963s to be a little less beautiful.
