2001 Château La Fleur de Boüard

Community Tasting Note

90 Points

Wednesday, August 8, 2012 - Still very dark in colour with some garnet rim. On the nose there is a lovely perfume with plum, blueberries, chocolate, herbs, toasted vanilla and graphite-like minerality flavours. Medium body, good acidity and has a dominant plum fruit character that similar to the aroma with some additions of spices & sweet cinnamon. Matured and probably at its best now, the silky texture, mouth coated yet toned-down tannins are coupled by a pleasant spicy medium finish. Though a little bit plain and lack of complexity, surely it is a good drinking & enjoyable wine.
