Thursday, September 24, 2015 - Inky purple. Powerful aromas of dried berries, coffee, game and earth. Starts out almost too sweet but escapes being syrupy thanks to a long, tart finish. By the next day, this had become higher toned and gained some floral notes. Unmistakably Syrah and unmistakably California. I would have said this was much younger than its bottle age. I will keep my last bottle another few years.
