Saturday, June 29, 2013 - Couldn't resist as post-birthday treat to self, served with rump steak in peppercorn sauce, sauté tatties, mushrooms and hard little tomatoes.
Not quite as heavenly bouquet in the decanter as remembered though still enticing. Beguiling balance, leather, tobacco, ripe dark fruit as before and not too boozy either.
Silky satisfaction really arrived while rationing last half bottle with cheeses over an hour. In all an elegant solo evening.
