Tuesday, December 3, 2013 - decanted for sediment. dark crimson w/red-gold halo; nose is predominately black earth, bacon, pepper, wild herb, woodsmoke; med weight on palate; dried red plum, tangy currant, bacon fat, quite smokey, w/solid acids. acceptable, & accommodating to the food, but past its best time.

purple barley "stew" w/slow-cooked brisket, wild mushrooms, crisp black kale & horseradish-buttermilk cream
