Sunday, March 27, 2016 - Nice medium-light garnet color, clear throughout. Some less than ideal aromas including some reduction at first, so I gave it 30 minutes in wide-bottom decanter and everything was A-OK. Roses, soil and some dried herbs on the nose, with a nicely lifted medium-bodied palate that was clean and offered moderate length. Pretty much the opposite of a cocktail wine, this was really good with prosciutto cotto, grissini, gorgonzola dolce...you know, lunch. Just as good on day 2, I'll be reloading on this very soon. Picked this up at Enoteca Boero Mario in Asti for €13. 13,5% abv, drink thru 2018. recommended
