Wednesday, July 23, 2014 - Although I know the usual style/goal of the Arcadian bottlings, I was still a bit underwhelmed with this particular attempt. Even with about 10 years of age, it was still a bit shrill and austere. I fully realize that Arcadian does not make "fruit bombs" and has a Burgundian bent, nonetheless, this wine seemed a bit acetic and lacking in fruit. I was hoping it would improve served with a pork tenderloin but it was still a bit tart. Certainly, not a bad wine, but I have had many better offerings from this producer.
