Saturday, October 18, 2014 - After a week in the fridge WITHOUT cork, the last glass of this btl showed increased depth and balance. Amazing aromas with just the right amount of petrochemistry and lush fruits. Giving a "later youth" impression.
Per os, this is now (finally) singing again.

What a fantastic way to grow a young German wine. Now sporting all the aromas from previous encounters including an enhanced 'maturing' fruity palette on the palate. Fabulous length and the acids lend themselves to beautiful somersaults as you swollow.

I do miss the transparency of other Riesling wines in this one. Please forgive me, but it renders the impression a little bit on the plump side. Still, this girl will never need to worry about dancing partners :-)

We shared a mid-week glass of this wine and wife frowned just as previous Saturday. But: tonight, she only smiled :-)

Tonight preceded by a 2005 Cha de Beaucastel and followed by a young Languedoc that overperformed heavily.

I almost lost faith compared to expectations and previous btls enjoyed. But it made a terriffic come-back. We will try to be kind and not open the next btl (8 btls to go) before 2020.
