Saturday, July 11, 2009 - Saturday Tasting Group (Knightsbridge Wine Shop (Northbrook, IL)): Medium dark ruby.
Dark cherries, mocha, subdued but elegant on the nose.
Showing a unique feminine tour de force. Rich potpourri play as well. Excellent earth.
Palate is gorgeous displaying true Old World finesse that can only come from a Bordeaux with a few years under its belt.
Dark cherries, leather. Moderate high acidity, alcohol and tannins.
Less fruit forward as the '03, but a more rustic earth driven bottling here.
