Sunday, April 24, 2011 - Exquisite! Opened 3 hours prior, then decanted about 45 mins prior to drinking. Balanced in every aspect. This wine had the perfect blend of tannins and fruit. On the nose was tobacco and leather, in the mouth the black fruits (cherry and blackberry) are mixed in for the perfect blend. The balance is also in the body of the wine.....not too concentrated, nor is it a lightweight. This is truly a wine to accumulate. I suspect this wine will stay on this plateau for many years.....but it will be hard to resist drinking. Simply Outstanding. If I were to choose a definition of perfect balance, this wine would be the poster child.
