Saturday, January 24, 2009 - Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux 2005 & 2006 Tasting (Hyatt, Century City): Closed on the nose only yielding subtle notes of red berries and savory undertones. The palate is also quite reticent with red currant and firm tannins. The balance and elegance at this stage are admirable however and I think this will turn into a nice little wine.
