Tuesday, September 23, 2014 - Almost 30 years of Bordeaux: Clear Bordeaux-Red. In the nose, it seems super young, a bit lactic at first (blackberry yoghurt) and rather modern. With more air, it shows more nuanced, the young, tart fruit stays, there's cassis, blackberry and black cherry, lighter (raspberry) overtones. On the palate, the wine is compact, has strong, but fine tannin, fine acidity, it's very dark overall, has good balance, but seems super young and underdeveloped. Good length, but dark and brooding and unfinished. This is hard to assess now, but has the potential to be great in 10 years time.
