Friday, December 25, 2015 - Even after 2.5 hours of decanting tasted younger than the 2006 vintage tasted the previous day. Full of life, (well integrated) tannins, and acidity for many additional years of cellaring. With decanting, the wine is accessible and very much enjoyable now. Distinct cedar notes on the palate, with deep blue and black fruit and pencil shavings. Relatively ripe, but at 13.6% alcohol remains well balanced and a pleasure to drink.
