Saturday, January 16, 2016 - For me this was stunning: very tight out of the bottle, dark fruits, skewing towards black fruit and olive on the nose....open and expanding mixed black red fruits on the palate, very refined with integrated tannins, after a few hours in a wide bottom decanter, it was still holding together nicely, we tasted this alongside the 1995 reserve and the Maxim was a bit more open out of the bottle and decidedly darker fruit than the reserve.
