Sunday, December 6, 2015 - Pulled the cork three hours before and decanted immediately before drinking. A memorable wine, and it's a good thing because the 62 Latour we opened next to this was completely oxidized. This one is in a tertiary place, with but bare wisps of structure holding it together, and sweet, gentle, stewed fruited seeping out over the sides. The label says 11% alcohol, which feels right - the body is light/medium at best, and the wine feels agile still, like an athletic old dude who still rides his bike every day. Okay the wine isn't as complex as I'm sure other greater vintages of this wine are. But this was a beautiful old wine and a special treat.
