Tuesday, June 9, 2015 - Ullage was High Shoulder and cork was slightly flared at the top but came out in one piece. A very pleasant and approachable wine that opened with aromas of leather, sous bois and dark fruits. There was an intense herby aroma of bell peppers present constantly thoughout the period of consumption. Tannins have totally integrated at this point and sediment was plentiful and quite fine. The mouthfeel was pretty smooth and silky. Finish was long and but slightly faint. At peak now and will probably will hold for a few more years.
