Saturday, May 2, 2015 - I tasted this wine upon release and was totally amazed. I promptly purchased a case and it promptly shut down. Finally, it is emerging from its shell. What a bright and inviting ruby color. The nose is extremely alluring with red and blue berries, chocolate, lavender, loam and traces of gun powder. Medium bodied with an intense, almost electric mouthfeel. The bright acidity clarifies and propels the roasted plum, ripe cherry and wild strawberry flavors. These are wedded to meaty, peppery and earthy undertones. The tannins are softening nicely. The balance and length really are quite special. This already gorgeous wine will be a downright knockout in three to five years! 94+ points.
