Sunday, January 6, 2013 - Garrigue, plum and black fruit on the nose with a sublte funk settling in, just the right amount, but coming close to being too much. On the palate the the tannins are pure silk, structurally speaking this wine is ready to drink, and if the anything the acidity is a bit weak and there is a bit of a tired feel to it. Tthe wine is very complex, with leather and roasting herbs, blackberry jam, and wet stone. I think this wine is peaking and, if I had any bottles would drink up now.
