2005 Domaine Auguste Clape Cornas

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Thursday, July 16, 2015 - Fantastic example of Cornas that is still quite young. Nose is mostly still primary at 10 years old with pen ink, crushed granite, dark berry fruits, violet, smoky meat, and hints of underbrush. The palate is definitely integrating, but still has robust tannins. The acidity and concentration in the palate keep the tannins in check, but I think this will be better in another 5-10 years.
