Friday, May 9, 2008 - Consumed for my 22nd anny. Top shoulder fill on the bottle....cork showed some slight signs of leakage....so bottle may have been somewhat oxidized. Color held up remarkably well, only the very slightest sign of fading on the rim. The nose was showing well, cherry, cedar and some slight green pepper. The nose was very closed at first but game some way after about 45-60m of decanting. While the nose game way to some fruit there are still a fair amount of drying tannins present that just wouldn't give way.....the wine continued to dry out the longer and sat.....looks like our marriage has held up better than this wine. 86
