Saturday, December 31, 2011 - What a wine. Older overseas Pinot Noir at its finest!

Nose: full-bodied and rich. Black current, marzipan and cedar wood
Colour: Deep red starting to brownish
Taste: Complex and deep taste, lots of ripe fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant, figs) Liquorice, almonds cinnamon and cedar wood.
Food recommendations: Try tenderloin with braised parsleyroot and carrots. Redwine glace.

I tried it (same vintage) a couple of years ago, and it seemed very closed and unfinished. Definitively a sleep.
Do not decant. It aerates fast (15-20 min). To stop the aeration process, cork it inbetween pouring.
If you have this vintage in your cellar, I would drink it now. Nevertheless I will out of experimental reasons leave my last one of same vintage.
Enjoy!
