Friday, April 1, 2016 - An incredible nose of smoky black fruits and scorched earth with a hint of eucalyptus. A bit firm on the palate but still silky and deep with the wonderful smoky notes continuing along with delicious flavors of aged black fruits, decaying earth, smoked meats and forest floor. Finishes crisp with hints of char and eucalyptus. A fine example of great aged Hermitage and I would've rated it higher if the finish was more complex and less high-pitched.
