Nose is intriguing - constantly evolving and very complex, showing aromas of dark fruits, black cherry, tobacco, earth, smoke, coffee and a little herbaceousness. Blackberries, tobacco, earth and herbs follow in the mouth with lifting acidity and fairly firm tannins. Falls away a little towards the finish, but this is a very interesting wine to explore over a few hours and great value.
