Saturday, July 28, 2012 - Rim verging towards tawny, so definitely showing its age. Beautiful nose: blackcurrant, blueberry, and leather, cigar box, and hints of black pepper aromas. Even some faint floral notes. Silky tannins and medium acidity on the palate. Somewhat light on the mid-palate, but a long finish with blackcurrant, sour cherry, tobacco, and cracked pepper.

Elegant and complex. Peaking now, so will be drinking the remaining two bottles in the near future.
