Monday, May 26, 2008 - Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux 2005 vintage tasting and dinner (Conrad Interntational, Singapore): UGC dinner. This was a bit disappointing. Promising nose, leathery, soy, with stewed, raisiny fruit. Palate was fresh, with interesting flavours of freshly ground pepper and more stewed fruit, Unfortunately, the wine seemed a little thin and watery, and finished rather roughly with bitter tannins.
