Friday, August 19, 2011 - Appearance: Clear, medium (-) intensity lemon color, watery rims with legs
Nose: Clean, medium (+) intensity and developing aromas of smoke, grass, lemon, honey, oak, gooseberry, and peach.
Palate: Dry, medium (+) acidity with medium alcohol level. Medium body and medium intensity flavors of lemon, wax, gooseberry, grass, honey and peach. Medium (+) length.
Conclusion: Good quality Graves white with an intense nose of distinguished Sauvignon and Semillon characters. Not particularly outstanding on palate, the overall impression is quite straight-forward and simple. A good length making this wine particularly enjoyable. The acidity is a bit on the sour side though which affect the overall balance. Ready to drink now and can be further improved for another 2-3 years.
