Tuesday, September 9, 2014 - A Visit To Jos. Christoffel Jr. In Urzig (Weingut Jos Christoffel Jr): Savory notes of beef jerky and some petrol mix with aromas of very ripe melons. On the palate, ripe cantaloupe and balanced ripe peaches show. Some honey appears later along with a bit of spice. The acidity reminds me of red apples, and it lingers with cantaloupe flavors on the finish.

5/8/2015 11:27:00 PM - Thanks for your Kajo notes! A friend, a real Kajo Riesling enthusiast, told me a couple of days ago that the 2001 version is showing extremely good at the moment. Apparently the best Würzgarten he had so far.
