Saturday, October 2, 2010 - Decanted for 4 hours. Tannins still quite present; the wine appears rather 'hard' on drinking. In the nose there is a lot of cassis and some chocolate. Interesting combination, and attractive to me. The after taste is nice, lingers for about 30 seconds. Good combination with cooked meat. This is a wine that probably will benefit from another 1-2 years of cellaring for sure. I've got some more, but won't check back for another year.
