Friday, February 22, 2013 - Seductive nose showing plenty of toasted oak aromas, followed by tons of fresh lemon juice, some soapy floral notes, orange zest, and some chalky limestone. More charred oak on the palate intertwined with fresh lemon juice, tart pineapple, honey, melon, white flowers, and a hint of herbal notes. Plenty of acidity, with a long length finish ending on notes of white flowers and lemon. This was a pleasant surprise, fairly ripe and round on the palate yet carrying the acidity to bring everything into perfect balance. Layered, complex, with a terrific viscous mouth feel. Drinking beautifully at the moment with no signs of slowing down. Fantastic.
