Monday, October 12, 2009 - Subtle and enticing nose, amazing concentration of flavors for such a light body. Improves dramatically with food and a couple of hours of being uncorked.
Way too much oak for me though, especially at the end of the bottle. It gave it a sour woody taste and covered up the beautiful fruit. I'd heard that Bourchard can over-oak at times and definitely found it here.
At its best (couple of hours out of the bottle, with food): 92pts
At its worst (the end of the bottle about five hours later): 82 pts
