Friday, November 28, 2008 - Golden tinged and viscous in appearance. Ripe and round with good weight and mouthfeel. Rich, ripe fruit with some slight tropical notes and a hint of butterscotch but not quite into the nutty stage yet. Fairly straight forward with little secondary flavors. A litle hot on the finish. This just does not have the quality of fruit and complexity of a top year. Good immediate charm that accompanies scalops well as a good Meursault should. Nice wine but not great. Just a bit short on complexity and length.
