Thursday, May 23, 2013 - Hard to imagine this being better. It's really a near-perfect aged San Julien -- silky and sweet, just a hint of tannin but very balanced acidity, cherries and something darker on the palate, a long finish. No hard edges, nothing off, no funk. Just pure enjoyment. Definitely tends toward the elegant side, not huge, but plenty of fruit. Really, plenty. Stood for over a week and decanted just before drinking.
