Sunday, December 8, 2013 - The wine was in perfect condition and surprisingly youthful. Its color was deep red with no hint of terracotta. It still showed vibrant red fruit balanced by strong, though silky, tannins, and refreshing acidity. It is built of sterner stuff than some Volnays, but it by no means lacks grace. It should remain vigorous for five years or longer.
